Laws surrounding 'e-Waste'

We briefly want to mention The EU WEEE Directive* to our customers. WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the directive was created to counter the environmental and health impacts of e-waste, through reuse and recycling.

E-waste is the fastest-growing waste stream in the EU, predicted to grow to 12 million tonnes per year by 2020. As a result businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies now need to ensure that all WEEE is separately collected, treated and recycled.

reApp can help your business with your e-waste disposal issues by paying for your unwanted items. Simply contact us if you have any used, damaged or broken Apple products and we'll explain how we can help you maintain WEEE compliancy.

* Enacted into UK law in the form of the WEEE Licensing Regulations, December 2006 (SI 2006 No. 3289).
